Specific duties

• Verification of structural and architectural plans and estimating costs:
• Read specifications;
• Note the quantities of steel on the structural plans
• Check and process Addendums, RFI;
• Under the supervision of the estimate coordinator, make price requests to subcontractors;
• Produce a statement of quantities using estimation software;
• Compile the data in order to proceed, under the supervision of the coordinator, with the transfer of the project to the chief estimator;
• Meet established deadlines for submission dates.

Required qualifications

• Training in reading shop drawings (a must)
• Fluent in spoken and written French and English
• Ability to use a computer database
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to work on several projects at once
• Attention to detail
